Christmas Season

The festive season is upon us again and as I prepare and decorate my home for Christmas I am mindful to navigate through a Feng Shui lens of harmony and balance.

The placement and choice of decorations during this season can profoundly affect the flow of chi—the life force that permeates our environments.

For instance, my Christmas tree—an emblematic triangular structure representing fire—is in the southeast corner of my home. Being in this sector not only enhances wealth but also fosters a sense of abundance.

Conversely, situating it in the east may promote health and relationships, placing it in the centre of your home will help bring balance.

Traditional elements such as evergreen garlands adorning entrances are believed to ward off negative energies and, are viewed as an invitation to the Spirit of Christmas to enter your home bringing good luck.

Another consideration is the use of red and gold ornaments, these can invigorate warmth and comfort into a space yet they must be balanced with cooler hues like blue or green to prevent potential energy overloads that may lead to discord and arguments.

So even amidst the celebration, mindfulness regarding Feng Shui principles remains essential for nurturing external beauty and internal peace.

From my family to yours, I wish you a peaceful, harmonious, joyful Christmas season.

Carol
